Diabetic – Retinopathy

Diabetic Retinopathy is one of common chronic Complications of uncontrolled Diabetes
Diabetic Retinopathy may be due to mitochondrial super oxide overproduction in response to hyperglycemia & as result of damaged blood vessels .

The main dhatus in eye are rakta,rasa,medas,majja & diabetes effect all these according to ayurveda. The complications in these dhatus can be reversed by improving the dhatu-agni of these dhatus ,the cellular uptake of glucose, by rejuvenating the damaged blood vessels/ & neo-blood vessels -genesis and by controlling blood glucose levels.
